Johan Cruyff Institute and the Federación Colombiana de Natación sign a collaboration agreement to guarantee professional training for its athletes, staff and club members with significant benefits

Johan Cruyff Institute will offer special discounts to the Federación Colombiana de Natación (FECNA) on its academic programs in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship, football business and coaching to guarantee professional training for its swimmers, managers and club members.

“Signing this collaboration agreement with FECNA is a unique opportunity for us to contribute to the development and professionalization of sport management in Colombia and, in this case, of swimming. We are convinced that it will be an agreement that will bring great benefits to both organizations,” said Román Pascual, commercial director of Johan Cruyff Institute.

The agreement also presents opportunities for the students of the academic institution, since in addition to enabling the collaboration of the federation in educational activities, presentations and seminars, it also enables students to apply for internships at FECNA when these become available.

Camilo Becerra, a former Olympic swimmer and the current manager of the Federación Colombiana de Natación, warns of the importance of the integral development of athletes, especially high performance athletes. “One of the strategic objectives of the Colombian Swimming Federation is to encourage, try to facilitate and support in some way the continuous training of our athletes, coaches and managers. Studies and sport can and should go hand in hand, so this new alliance with Johan Cruyff Institute opens a very big door for our community to continue with their professional training, especially in the field of sport management and, in this way, they can prepare themselves to be the new leaders in sport management in our country.”
