Independiente Medellín offers its players education for athletes at Johan Cruyff Institute

The Colombian football club Independiente Medellín offers its players and staff the chance to study at Johan Cruyff Institute, thanks to a collaboration agreement

Signed in June this year, the agreement between Johan Cruyff Institute and Independiente Medellín, brings important advantages for the members, athletes and staff of the Colombian club, who can obtain interesting discounts of up to 30% on the education for athletes programs in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship, football business and coaching offered by  Johan Cruyff Institute from the next semester.

The chairman of the board of directors, José Raúl Giraldo Gómez, commented that “as an institution we are very happy to seal this agreement with one of the most important sports centers in the world. It is a huge opportunity and it fills us with pride to forge this bond that will allow the personal and academic growth of those who make up the family of Deportivo Independiente Medellín. The company feels privileged on this unique occasion”.

Deportivo Independiente Medellín was founded by Alberto Uribe Piedrahíta in November 1913, under the name of Medellín Football Club. It is one of the most important teams in Colombia and they have been champions of the Águila League, the first division of professional football in Colombia, six times.
