Johan Cruyff Institute, as an academic partner of iWorkinSport Job Fair 2020 to be held in virtual format due to Covid-19 outbreak, offers students and alumni the opportunity to arrange job interviews with international sports companies and organizations
On May 8th, it will be held the fourth edition of iWorkinSport Job Fair, the first international hiring fair focused on the sports industry to which international sports companies and organizations go in search of new talent. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the fair will be held in virtual format. The Johan Cruyff Institute will again be an academic partner of the event and is offering, exclusively to students and alumni, the possibility to participate to the fair and have a pre-arranged job interview with attending companies. Recruiters will be available to chat with candidates at their virtual booths, during the whole event. They will also conduct individual chats and video interviews. Live and on-demand webinars will be presented at the virtual Auditorium. Due to the latest events, the Conference program is still being built, and may be changed.
At last year’s edition, over 300 students and alumni of some of the world’s leading postgraduate courses in sport management, including those from Johan Cruyff Institute, travelled to Lausanne to meet recruiters from a wide selection of the most renowned sports organizations.
The line-up of recruiters already confirmed for this year’s edition is made up of world-class organizations such as the International Olympic Committee (IOC), FIBA, FIFA, IMG, Soccerex, World Football Summit, Eurovision Sport, Juventus, Endeavor, Infront and Outdooria, among others.
Prior to the event, the recruiting companies will announce the professional profiles they are interested in, so that candidates can submit their CVs through the iWorkinSport website. Those selected will then be invited to a 20-minute job interview with the company, without any intermediaries.
The Job Fair consists of two main activities running in parallel: the Exhibition, where the interviews, meetings and networking opportunities take place; and the Conference, where attendees can attend extremely interesting and useful panel discussions and company presentations. This year’s panel discussions are ‘Industry Trends: what sports organizations are looking for’, ‘Get a Job! – Find your opportunity; make your CV stand ou’ and ‘What (not) to do at a job interview’.
iWorkinSport is the perfect scenario for companies and HR professionals to exchange knowledge and explain what it means to work at their companies before an interested and qualified audience. Students and alumni of Johan Cruyff Institute who are interested in attending the fair must register through the event’s website. The first 50 to do so will be able to attend for free and the rest will get a 50% discount.
