Johan Cruyff Institute has been honored with the INDESCAT Sports Company Award 2026, a distinction presented by the Catalan Sports Cluster to organizations that drive innovation, growth, and development within the sports industry.
The award ceremony took place at the Mirador Building in Barcelona’s Port Vell during the closing event of INDESCAT’s 15th anniversary celebrations. The event highlighted the consolidation of the Catalan sports industry as an economic and social driver, while also recognizing companies and organizations that actively contribute to its advancement.

Attendees voted live to select the winner from among the finalists, ultimately awarding the distinction to Johan Cruyff Institute in recognition of its track record and its contribution to the education of professionals specialized in the sports industry.

The INDESCAT Sports Company Award was created to highlight initiatives that help shape the future of the sector while generating a positive impact both socially and commercially. The award also seeks to showcase the talent within Catalonia’s sports ecosystem, share inspiring success stories, and strengthen the collective positioning of the sports industry.

The organization brings together companies, research centers, and institutions representing every segment of the sports value chain.
