Henk Verschuur, new member of the International Wushu Federation

The manager and academic director of the Master in Sport Management at the Johan Cruyff Institute Amsterdam has attended the World Championships in Jakarta

Henk Verschuur has been recently elected to be part of the governing body of the International Wushu Federation, the official global sanction body for Wushu, a sport commonly known under the name of Kung Fu.

Wushu is very popular in countries like China, with more than 30 million practitioners, and the Internacional Federation is a quite big organization with 145 countries represented. The president, Yu Zaiging, is also one of the vice-presidents of the International Olympic Comitee (IOC).
