The Catalan sports industry cluster highlights the initiatives in sport and business of KaptivaSports, Mat Group, Open Camp and Nexacut
The Museu Olimpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch yesterday hosted the 2015 Indescat awards ceremony, an annual event where the Catalan sports industry cluster recognizes the year’s best initiatives in sport and business. On this occasion, the Johan Cruyff Institute, last year’s winner of the award for internationalization, was part of the jury and was represented by our director, Mariël Koerhuis.
The Internationalization Award went to Kaptiva Sports, a company with considerable experience in event management and sports marketing. Mat Group, a multinational company dedicated to provide global solutions for passive safety products and technical sportswear, was awarded the Innovation Award for a product; while the Innovation Award for a business model went to Open Camp, an innovative business initiative promoted by a group of entrepreneurs, producers and investors in Barcelona aimed at developing the world’s first experiential parks dedicated to the world of sport. The sports counseling company Nexacut received the Partnership Award.
