The Johan Cruyff Institute and the Colombian professional football club Fortaleza CEIF have formed an alliance to encourage and strengthen the academic training of the club’s athletes and obtain special advantages for both entities
From this year, all members and players of the club will have access to the Johan Cruyff Institute’s academic programs in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship, football business and coaching, with benefits of up to 30% on the online versions. This agreement aims to be a platform that will promote the professionalization of the club’s members and help its athletes prepare for new challenges in the world of sport. The agreement also allows for joint projects to be developed and for the two organizations to benefit from the collaboration between professionals from both sides.
“Fortaleza is not only a professional football club, it is also an integrated training center for its players, coaches and the whole community. The agreement we have just signed with the Johan Cruyff Institute is a fundamental piece in the search for that goal,” says Carlos Barato, president of the club. Expressing his satisfaction with the agreement, he goes on to add that “this agreement will give our community an opportunity so they can continue to enrich themselves intellectually and continue to nourish their professional lives. In the case of our players, this alliance will help them to get a professional qualification, parallel to their profession as footballers. At Fortaleza CEIF, we welcome this agreement with an institution with so much experience and recognition.”
With this agreement, the network of students of the Johan Cruyff Institute will also obtain the possibility to apply for internships and receive job offers from the club.
