Johan Cruyff Institute and Footters, the Spanish streaming platform dedicated to the world of football, join forces to boost the academic training of leaders in sport management
Johan Cruyff Institute has incorporated into its network of collaborating companies the Spanish streaming multiplatform Footters, which offers clubs, tournaments and competitions the possibility to broadcast their matches, and football fans to access them live and in HD. The platform also offers fans all the information on the clubs, their players and coaches, as well as data from the different competitions.
Through this collaboration, the staff of Footters and member of their affiliated clubs will be able to obtain a discount on the price of the academic programs in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship, football business and coaching offered by Johan Cruyff Institute.
The platform, for its part, will take into account the students of Johan Cruyff Institute when filling future internships in the company. The agreement also contemplates the possibility of the two entities carrying out joint activities in terms of teaching, lectures and webinars.
Julio Fariñas, CEO of Footters, commented that “as the football people we are, one of our great objectives has always been to try and help professionalize the management structures of non-professional football, and for that, academic training is key. Signing an agreement with such a prestigious entity as Johan Cruyff Institute is a privilege for us and brings us closer to that goal of doing our bit to make our football grow.”
“It is difficult for grassroot football to gain visibility, but Footters has revolutionized the sector with a value proposal for broadcasting marches that brings it closer to its fans, and that also fits perfectly with Johan Cruyff Institute’s aim to grow and help promote the professionalization of sport and football,” says Román Pascual, sales manager of Johan Cruyff Institute.
