Joan Celma, who will join the Johan Cruyff Institute faculty in September as a new professor of the Master in Sport Management, reveals the keys to good management in his new book Essential Management for Sport Managers
Joan Celma, an experienced sport management professional and director of Sportise International, which provides solutions to clubs and the public administration to resolve real problems related to the day-to-day management of sport facilities, has just released a new book.
Essential Management for Sport Managers is a manual providing practical and effective management advice for directors, managers, sport clubs and sport institutions. The book brings together different techniques, exercises and tests in sport management so that, in the words of its author, “anyone who is responsible for running a sport institution can consider any variable and perform efficiently”.
In his new book, Joan Celma explains “leadership and management techniques and functions like how to organize, plan, take decisions and the mechanisms to do so, and how to evaluate and control”, based on his own theoretical and practical experience over more than 30 years in management positions at different institutions, public entities and sport clubs.
