Johan Cruyff Institute will have a double presence in the first edition of the National Sport Expo in Amsterdam, which will be held on May 15 and 16 at Amsterdam ArenA, the Ajax stadium that will be called Johan Cruijff Arena from next season 2018-19.

As academic partner of the event, Johan Cruyff Institute will have a stand to inform about all its programs in Sport Management, Sport Marketing and Sponsorship, Football Business and Coaching. All the attendees will also have the opportunity to attend on Wednesday, 16 a live workshop offered by Henk Groener, professor of the Master in Coaching of Johan Cruyff Institute Amsterdam and head coach of the German women’s national handball team.

Henk Groener will speak from 1pm-2pm on team dynamics according to his own and successful experience. “In my opinion, a good coach is someone who uses his own qualities to help the person he coaches to achieve personal goals. I therefore continually challenge the students and my team to replace the exclamation marks in their lives with question marks and then answer these questions again. I also want to place the responsibility for their development and performance where it belongs, to themselves”, says Henk.

Students, alumni and stakeholders of Johan Cruyff Institute can access the Expo with interesting discounts.

MASTER IN

Coaching

This 7 month program is based on the vision of Johan Cruyff in which sport coaching is more than using tactical and technical knowledge. It is about yourself, the players & staff, the team and the environment. We believe that you can only coach others if you know how to coach yourself. Each participant’s personal background is a base for further development and better understanding of oneself as a coach and/or manager. The principle of coaching is that you then apply this insight knowledge in counseling others. A personal coach will guide you in the process of realizing your personal goals for becoming a better coach, manager and/or person.
