The professionalization of sport is one of the objectives and values shared by both the Johan Cruyff Institute and the National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (INEFC) and also the reason that has led the two entities to sign a partnership agreement for the next two years.
The agreement will involve cooperation in sport management training activities through programs and projects developed by both entities, as well as the undertaking of joint studies and research projects.
Mariël Koerhuis, director of the Johan Cruyff Institute, explains that “our agreement with this benchmark institution in physical education in Catalonia that prepares leading sports professionals allows us to respond to the need of those INEFC graduates who wish to complement their training with postgraduate programs specialized in sport management. Promoting the transfer of knowledge and talent between the two institutions is another step on the way to maximizing the professionalization of sport in Catalonia”.
The director of INEFC, Agustí Boixeda de Miquel, added that “the signing of the cooperation agreement between the INEFC and the Johan Cruyff Institute is part of our interest in establishing partnerships with private entities that allow us to generate new projects and to expand and diversify in the training of professionals in physical education and sport. The joint experience and recognition of both institutions will enable the creation of innovative training offers in this field”.
