New alliance between Johan Cruyff Institute and the Portuguese Association of Sports Law

The president of the Portuguese Association of Sports Law visited our international headquarters in Barcelona to sign a collaboration agreement between the two entities

Johan Cruyff Institute and the Portuguese Association of Sports Law (PASL) will collaborate towards the professionalization of sport after signing an agreement that will benefit both entities and aims to promote the exchange of knowledge in the field of sport.

The president of the PASL, Rui Alexandre Silva, visited the international headquarters of the Johan Cruyff Institute in Barcelona to meet with the director, Mariël Koerhuis, to get to know the facilities and to sign the agreement. From now on, all sports law professionals who are members of the PASL will be able specialize in sport management, sport marketing, coaching and football business, with a special discount in both blended and online programs. The PASL has legal professionals who work for sports clubs, law firms, sports federations and the Olympic Committee.

“For Portuguese sports lawyers and all interested sports-related professionals who follow the activities of the Portuguese Association of Sports Law (PASL), the signing of an agreement with the Johan Cruyff Institute is a very important step in providing international accessibility to an education of excellence in the sports sector area – says the president of the PASL, Rui Alexandre Silva-. And it is not only for people in the football business, but also for all those in general who, in Portugal and all over the world, want to get better at what they do and would like to broaden their horizons in this area of activity. The opportunity now available to those who want to learn more about the practices and vision of Johan Cruyff is of high value, especially since there are exclusive conditions for the PASL, associated professionals who are able to study the Johan Cruyff Institute programs”.

The Johan Cruyff Institute programs will be available at special discounts for the PASL associates, while students, alumni and staff members of the Johan Cruyff Institute will also have special conditions for the services and products offered by the PASL, including the Postgraduate in Law, Finance and Justice in Sport and the International Congress of Sports Law. The participation of the Portuguese Association of Sports Law in the academic programs of the Johan Cruyff Institute (whether in classes, seminars or conferences) and the offer of internships for Johan Cruyff Institute students and alumni also form part of the agreement. “The agreement will also work very well for Johan Cruyff Institute: through the PASL, many current and former students may have the chance to come to Portugal and study some Portuguese characteristics in different sports, mainly in football probably, but also in other international level sports, for instance, Olympic disciplines”, added the Portuguese manager.
