New alliance between Johan Cruyff Institute and PanHellenic Professional Football Players Association

Johan Cruyff Institute and the Greek PanHellenic Professional Football Players Association sign a collaboration agreement that offers the association’s athletes benefits in academic training

Johan Cruyff Institute and the Greek PanHellenic Professional Football Players Association (PSAP), based in Athens, have united in their mutual interest to provide quality academic training in the sports industry through the signing of a collaboration agreement that will provide special discounts to all the members of the association. This collaboration will also allow the students of Johan Cruyff Institute to apply for internships that may be offered at the association.

The Johan Cruyff Institute education for athletes programs in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship, football business and coaching will be available to PSAP members from September 2019 with discounts of up to 30%.

The PSAP, which was founded in 1976, is the trade union body of all professional football players in Greece. Currently, it has more than 1,200 members, to whom it offers assistance and support in different areas, as well as legal services, financial advice and educational options, among other things.

Giorgos Mpantis, chairman of the board of directors of the PSAP, expressed his satisfaction with the agreement: “Education is the cornerstone of our efforts to develop our members in a holistic way. Our association puts a great emphasis on helping players to have a dual-career and a smooth transition to life after football, and for that reason we are very happy that JCI, one of the best educational institutes in the field of sport, will be our partner in the accomplishment of our mission. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership”.
