A new edition of SPORTBIZ Colombia will take place on February 25 in Bogotá, featuring Johan Cruyff Institute as the official Learning Partner.
The Colombian sports industry has experienced sustained growth in recent years. According to government data, the sector’s total production saw a cumulative growth of 76.3% between 2018 and 2024. Within this thriving context, SPORTBIZ returns to the country in its “Industry Meeting” format, specifically designed to foster meaningful connections between professionals and leaders in the sports business. The event will be held on February 25 at Kraksgol, Metrópolis Shopping Center, in Bogotá.
Johan Cruyff Institute will join the gathering as a Learning Partner. Its international academic portfolio includes a strong presence in Colombia, highlighted by the Executive Master in Sport Management in Bogotá, launched in 2021. Furthermore, the institution maintains several strategic local partnerships, such as with the Escuela Nacional del Deporte (ENDEPORTE) and the Colombian Swimming Federation, reinforcing its commitment to talent development and the professionalization of the regional sports industry.
“Colombia is a key country within our growth strategy in Latin America. We see enormous potential in its sports ecosystem and a clear demand for specialized training, which reinforces our commitment to continue promoting high-level academic programs and solid local alliances,” explains Albert Romans, General Manager of Johan Cruyff Institute.
Attendees of the SPORTBIZ Colombia Industry Meeting will engage with the primary actors of the sports ecosystem, including clubs, federations, leagues, and associations. The event will also feature various sports brands, corporations, broadcasters, and specialized media, offering an unparalleled opportunity for networking and business development. With over 40 editions held across 13 countries, SPORTBIZ has established itself as a global benchmark for the sports sector in both the Americas and Europe—where it celebrated its fifth Barcelona edition last year.
Through this collaboration, Johan Cruyff Institute continues to champion the professionalization of sport in the Latin American market. By providing world-class education and creating industry opportunities, Johan Cruyff Institute is driving the development of the next generation of sports leaders.
