Johan Cruyff Institute and the INAF Chile (National Institute of Football, Sport and Physical Activity) sign an agreement to give academic training in sport management to INAF members with special conditions
As part of this agreement recently signed through Edgar Merino, Johan Cruyff Institute‘s international agent in Chile, all members and graduates of the INAF interested in furthering their education through studies in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship, football business and coaching will be able to obtain important discounts on the academic training of Johan Cruyff Institute.
Graduates of Johan Cruyff Institute, in turn will be able to access INAF training programs with similar benefits. And the students to put into practice the knowledge acquired in their studies through internships at the entity, whenever vacancies are offered.
“This collaboration will bring great value to sport and football in Chile, since the international prestige of Johan Cruyff Institute added to the great local experience of the INAF will allow us to offer football lovers new opportunities for quality education in the area of management. Football players, former football players, other athletes and managers, among others, will be able to study in areas related to sport management and this will have repercussions in the near future, as these new professionals will help to promote sport in our country with knowledge and tools of the highest level,” says Edgar Merino.
The INAF is a non-profit institution, created by the Chilean Football Federation (FFCH), the National Association of Professional Football (ANFP) and the National Association of Amateur Football (ANFA). It is accredited by the Chilean Ministry of Education and is considered to be a leading study center in the training of professionals and higher level technical staff in its four lines of study—football coaching, football technician, football refereeing, and coaching in sports and physical activity.
The two institutions may also develop joint actions to contribute to the development of sport management in a comprehensive manner. “This alliance forms part of our policy of linking with both the local and international communities its main objective being to deliver new programs and training opportunities to our community at the hands of one of the international centers of excellence in the training of sport managers,” says Martín Mihovilovic Contreras, rector of the INAF.
