The iconic América de Cali football club offers its players, members and staff the opportunity to train at the Johan Cruyff Institute with special conditions
América de Cali will offer its players, members and administrative staff the possibility to access the academic training of the Johan Cruyff Institute with interesting discounts, thanks to the collaboration agreement signed by the two entities. The agreement also presents opportunities for the students of our institution, since in addition to learning about the management of this historic football club through case studies and the club’s participation in presentations and educational activities, América de Cali will also offer five internship places for which our students can apply.
América de Cali S.A., known as América de Cali or simply América, is one of the largest and most popular clubs in Colombia and is considered to be one of the most important in South America. With a total of 16 titles between national and international championships, it is one of the most successful teams in Colombian football. The club has won the third most championships of the Colombian League (13 titles) and most recently they were the 2016 champions of the Primera B Category. At the international level, América have been runners-up in the Copa Libertadores de América four times, and is the Colombian club that has played the most finals of this tournament.
Ricardo Pérez Tamayo, president of América de Cali, highlights the importance of the agreement:
