The Club Natació Granollers swimming club supports the academic training of its members, athletes and staff through an academic collaboration agreement with the Johan Cruyff Institute

The academic collaboration agreement signed by the two entities includes special benefits for members of Club Natació Granollers who wish to study the academic programs in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship of the Johan Cruyff Institute to continue developing their professional training in the field of sport. At the same time, it offers the possibility of internships for students, presentations given by the club to share best practices, and the organization of joint projects.

According to Eduard Escandell, president of Club Natació Granollers, “continuing with our firm commitment to the academic training of our athletes and workers, we are happy to be able to sign an agreement with the Johan Cruyff Institute, a renowned center whose values we share, which will allow us to offer quality academic training, not only to our athletes and workers, but we are going a step further, and also making it available to our members.”

The relationship between Club Natació Granollers and the Johan Cruyff Institute has already been established thanks to the alumni of the Master in Sport Management, Jordi Mas, the club’s current executive director, and Mercè Humedas who has been head of marketing and sponsorship at the club for a year. The Johan Cruyff Institute is committed to training professional leaders in sport management who, like Mas and Humedas, can take the knowledge acquired in the classroom to sports entities.

Club Natació Granollers was founded more than 50 years ago by Josep Bernaus, as a club specialized in swimming. Today, it has five heated swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, where it organizes swimming training and competitions, water polo and synchronized swimming, in addition to having one of the top gymnastics halls in the province, where the gymnasts of the only non-aquatic sports section of the club carry out their activity. The different sports sections have produced champions of different state and international competitions, who train alongside the club members, who can also enjoy the facilities of the entity, which include a fully-equipped fitness room and a full range of directed activities, as well as spa area and paddle tennis court.
