If you have an innovative idea and a business plan to create your own company in the sports industry this is your moment. The Johan Cruyff Institute is actively participating in iSport Forum 2016, the first International Investment Forum Sports Industry, to be held on March 17 in the auditorium of the National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (INEFC). Irsan Widarto, professor of innovation and entrepreneurship at the Johan Cruyff Institute, will sit on the jury, and the institution will award a full scholarship to study its Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Marketing Online, worth 3,875 euros.
The main objective of this event is to promote entrepreneurial initiatives, to foster domestic and international investment and commercial transactions, and to incubate innovative new sports industry projects in Spain. Startups can be submitted until February 26. The top five international initiatives will defend their projects on March 17 in the afternoon before the jury of the Forum, a group of top experts who will choose the best project to be awarded a prize of 100,000 euros.
The selection of startups will be carried out according to criteria of capacity for innovation and transformation, viability, social impact, experience and attitude of the management team and communication capability. The areas of application of the startups are: technology, mobile apps, IoT (internet of things), service provision, products , logistics, advertising, social media, smart equipment , smart cities, marketing, sustainability, design, big data, wearables, smart fabrics, nutrition, health or any business project related or applicable to the sports industry.
