Johan Cruyff Institute Mexico brings together its network of alumni and stakeholders to commemorate its 15 years of history
Johan Cruyff Institute Mexico brought together a large group of professionals from the sports industry to celebrate 15 years since its opening in Mexico, in a pleasant evening that made it possible for former students and friends of the network to meet again for a special occasion.
Mexico was the first country the Johan Cruyff Institute began to establish ties with outside Europe, marking the beginning of a clear commitment of Johan Cruyff ‘s educational initiative with the Latin American community. That was back in 2003, and in the 15 years since then, more than 800 students have been educated at this institution, from club directors to former football players, journalists, representatives of brands linked to football, players’ agents and entrepreneurs. All have given a boost to their professional career through an academic program unique in the American continent.

“To be celebrating 15 years is a great satisfaction. Johan Cruyff Institute Mexico has become a key element to achieve the professionalization of sport in our country, and today we are proud to have built a large network of professionals that has positioned us as the leading academic entity in sport management studies in the country”, said the country manager, Ricardo Zayas. He also had a special mention in his welcome speech for “each of the professors and people who have been part of the Institute, for their unconditional support in helping us to achieve our mission, but above all, thanks to all our students and alumni for your trust and loyalty. It is an honor to belong to this great institution and be able to continue educating future professionals in the sports industry in Mexico”.
