Johan Cruyff Institute to focus on innovation at WFS EUROPE

Together with our partner Johan Cruijff ArenA, Johan Cruyff Institute presents at WFS EUROPE an interesting workshop focused on innovation as a driver of business, culture and brand value

Johan Cruyff Institute will focus on innovation at the fifth edition of WFS EUROPE, to be held on September 22nd and 23rd at the spectacular Wanda Metropolitano, Atlético de Madrid’s stadium. The football industry returns to the Spanish capital for WFS to meet for the first time in a hybrid event that will have more than 600 attendees in person and 1,500 who will follow the event online.

Johan Cruyff Institute has organized a workshop that will be presented by Johan Cruijff ArenA on how to accelerate innovation to enhance your business, culture and brand value. The talk will be given by Sander van Stiphout, international director and program manager for innovation at Johan Cruijff ArenA, and Wilco Leenslag, senior manager for innovation at KPMG. Both will show us how collaborating with stakeholders, partners and sponsors can drive a multitude of innovative solutions for the benefit of all.

The Johan Cruijff ArenA is the heart of one of the most vibrant areas of Amsterdam and home ground of AFC Ajax and the Dutch national team. It is there where the stadium and its founding partners created an unprecedented innovation platform to test and grow solutions that make the lives of the club, the visitors and local residents better. Innovations that have an immediate positive impact and, at the same time, have the potential to help solve the urban and societal challenges of the 21st century in the areas of sustainability, mobility, crowd control, security, visitor engagement and citizen wellbeing in a durable and inclusive way.

As academic partner of all events organized by WFS, Johan Cruyff Institute will have a stand in the expo area where we will attend to all those interested in our academic programs in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship, football business and coaching. Students and former students of all our programs will be able to participate in the event and obtain interesting discounts that can be accessed through the virtual campus and the Cruyff Alumni platform.
