The Johan Cruyff Institute will sponsor the second edition of the Sports Business Meeting organized by Palco23 that will be held in Barcelona on June 27
Palco23, a leading online newspaper specialized in financial news relating to the sports sector in Spain, is organizing its Sports Business Meeting for the second consecutive year at the Liceu Conservatory Foundation in Barcelona. With the participation of managers from entities, clubs and relevant competitions in the sports world in Spain, the meeting aims to analyze the future challenges of this industry and highlight its important economic contribution.
“We have collaborated with and supported Palco23 from its inception because of the commitment to sport that we both share,” says Cristina Palés, marketing director of the Johan Cruyff Institute, adding that “to sponsor a day like this is natural for us, because it means taking our day-to-day in the classroom to a necessary debate among sport professionals on key aspects of our industry.”
“For us, it is a priority to build a forum for the exchange of ideas between different players in the sports industry to jointly analyze their future challenges and explore formulas to strengthen it,” says Marc Menchén, manager of Palco23. “It is a pleasure to have the continued support of the Johan Cruyff Institute and its involvement in this initiative, which aims to be a useful tool for all professionals,” he adds.
In its first edition in 2018, the Sports Business Meeting brought together more than 250 professionals from different sports such as football, cycling, motorsport or fitness, among others, becoming a space created by and for the leaders of the sport business. The day is organized around lectures and round tables, and offers the attendees, primarily made up of executives from the sector throughout Spain, a suitable space for networking with other professionals and experts from the sports sector.
