Students from Amsterdam, Mexico and Peru enjoyed their study trips in three European cities combining classes, visits, networking opportunities and leisure time
Cultural diversity and internationality characterize the profile of the Johan Cruyff Institute students, not only those doing the online programs, but also those studying the on-campus courses. In this academic year, our classrooms are filled with students with up to 56 different nationalities, as the students from Mexico, Peru and Amsterdam had the opportunity to verify during their study trips.
Amsterdam, Barcelona and London were the destinations chosen this year for the long-awaited study trips of the students from Mexico, Peru and Amsterdam, while the Barcelona and online students will enjoy their trips in March.
Due to the distance, the students of the Master in Sport Management and the Master in Football Business in Peru, and the students of the Master in Football Business and the Diploma in Sport Marketing and Business in Mexico were the ones who enjoyed the longest trip: seven days in Barcelona and Amsterdam during which, in addition to class sessions programmed specifically for them, they learned about several different business models and visited their facilities, such as those of FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol (during their stay in Barcelona), and the Ajax stadium, the Olympic Stadium and the FIFPro headquarters (in Amsterdam). Our American students also learned, through Cruyff Football, how they work to develop the talent of young people following Johan’s philosophy.
The students of the Master in Sport Management in Amsterdam visited the facilities of the Camp Nou, the Parc Científic de Barcelona and the Club Natació Barcelona during their three-day stay in Barcelona. They also had time to meet up with their fellow students in Barcelona.
Finally, the group of students of the specialized course ‘Sponsorship 360 for a changing world’, one of the novelties in the Johan Cruyff Institute portfolio, spent two unforgettable days in London, combining classes with top-level sporting events. They were given a talk by the head of sponsorship at NBA Europe and attended a workshop organized by the company Synergy Sponsorship. The students were also privileged to attend a day of tennis day at the Nitto ATP Tour Finals and to visit the Churchill Stakes horse racing track.
