Johan Cruyff Institute brings its experience in innovation in the world of sport to Donostia Weekinn Innovation Week 2019 through the participation of Marc Bernadich, professor of the Master in Sport Management

The city of San Sebastian is currently celebrating the sixth edition of its Innovation Week, an event that under the name of Donostia Weekinn 2019 brings together experts from the business world to raise awareness about the importance of innovation and training in this concept. The event, which runs from October 26 to 31 and is organized by the Department of Economic Development of the City Council of San Sebastian, yesterday saw the participation of Marc Bernardich, professor of the Master in Sport Management at Johan Cruyff Institute.

Due to his experience in creating, conceptualizing and advising on new innovative projects, Marc Bernadich was invited to lead the debate on innovation in the world of sport. The Johan Cruyff Institute professor gave a presentation on innovation models in sports clubs and how they should be managed, not only to keep up to date but also to be able to survive in a business ecosystem in which the search for alternative sources of income is an unavoidable necessity.

The day dedicated to sport and innovation took place at the Hotel La Sala Plaza in San Sebastian, with the collaboration of the Real Sociedad Foundation. After Marc Bernadich’s presentation, Xabi Pérez moderated a roundtable discussion with Alberto López, president of La Donostiarra, and Esteban Barrenetxea, president of Easo Basketball Club.
