On September 5 and 6, the Portuguese town of Oeiras will host Soccerex Europe 2019, an event that for the last two decades has brought together the most important agents in the football industry, and which will be attended by Johan Cruyff Institute, through its presence in one of the expert panels and a stand in the Expo area. Oliver Seitz, academic director of the Master in Football Business in partnership with FC Barcelona, will participate in the panel on ‘Investments, Revenue and the Future of the Football Business’ that will take place on Friday, September 6, at 11:00 a.m., together with other world experts in football finance and business.
Over the past decade, football has proven to be increasingly popular among international investors, attracted by the global growth of the game and the revenue it generates. The rights market has shown signs of stagnation, so the football business landscape is changing with new competition models under debate and other income opportunities through activities such as sports betting.
