Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences visits Johan Cruyff Institute

Johan Cruyff Institute teaches a class on brand strategy for a group of 28 students from the HvA (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences) visiting Barcelona on their study trip

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, or HvA) has visited the international headquarters of Johan Cruyf Institute as part of the program of activities in their study trip to the city of Barcelona. A group of 28 students from various universities around the world and from 16 different nationalities who are studying the optional course ‘Minor Business of Sport and Entertainment’ offered by the HvA, has received a class on the brand strategy of Johan Cruyff Institute as a business school dedicated to the training of the future leaders in sport management.

The students are in the third year of their four-year courses in various different university degrees such as Business and International Management, Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Media and Sport Marketing. All of them have chosen as an optional course the specialization ‘Minor Business of Sport and Entertainment’, taught by the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA), an institution of which Johan Cruyff Academy Amsterdam is a part.

During their visit to our facilities, the group has discovered the mission and vision of Johan Cruyff Institute, the educational initiative that Johan Cruyff launched with the aim of giving an opportunity to athletes, who have so many of the qualities required for management. Over its 20 years of history, it has established itself as a reference institution in the training of leaders in sport management from many different business fields.
