The Johan Cruyff Institute will be the learning partner of the Everything in Soccer 2019 congress that will take place on May 9 and 10 in Toronto, and will actively participate through our professor Richard Denton who will be a speaker in one of the panels
“Education being one of the four key pillars of Everything in Soccer and by having a leading sports management academic institution such as Johan Cruyff Institute be part of the event helps us achieve a mutual goal in educating athletes as well as business professionals to become the leaders of tomorrow”, stated Everything in Soccer congress.
With over 80 organizations within the football community sending senior representatives to the event, including Toronto FC, Juventus Academy Toronto, La Liga, Ottawa City Soccer Club, Paris Saint Germain and FC Bayern Munich, Everything in Soccer represents a chance to meet, network and do business with the decision-makers that will transform the emerging North American football market.
Our professor Richard Denton will participate in the panel ‘The new CPL launch: how education, coaching and technology can shape the future of Canadian football with grassroots and the pro game”, together with representatives from clubs such as Cavalry FC, FC Edmonton, Forge FC, HFX Wanderers FC, Pacific FC, Valour FC and York 9 FC. They will all give their vision on topics such as sponsorship, brand awareness, fan engagement, marketing, new technologies and stadiums.
Now with the launch of the CPL (Canadian Premier League), the game in Canada is about to embark on an exciting new era. With football ranked as the most watched and most played sport globally, the effect this has on all commercial aspects in the supporting sectors creates opportunities for markets to be brought together and for new business to be initiated and developed.
“I am delighted to be part of Everything in Soccer 2019 on behalf of the Johan Cruyff Institute”, said Richard Denton. “Sharing knowledge, ideas and exploring new opportunities in sport is at the heart of what we do with our students on a weekly basis. I am also looking forward to hear more about the Canadian Premier League and how we can contribute to the long-term success for clubs, fans, partners and players.”
