The panel hosted by Johan Cruyff Institute as Learning Partner of SportBiz LATAM Live will address ‘New Perspectives of Sport Management in LATAM’ and it will be possible to follow it via streaming on August 4
As learning partner of all the SportBiz congresses organized by Good Morning Sports, Johan Cruyff Institute will take part in SportBiz LATAM Live, the Latin American sport business congress that will be held for the first time in virtual format on August 4 and 5. The institution will contribute content with a panel of experts that will discuss the ‘New Perspectives of Sport Management in LATAM’, a talk that can be followed live, on August 4, via the platform.
The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic last March completely interrupted established processes in the football industry; some have proven obsolete and others have accelerated in response to the crisis. The Johan Cruyff Institute panel will present a debate on how the pandemic has been faced and how it is currently being managed by Latin American clubs, what fan engagement actions have been carried out to alleviate the lack of activity on the playing field, what strategies have been used and the need to incorporate new technological resources in the future and, finally, the new challenges facing the football industry from this situation and the importance of sport business training to boost the professionalization of the sector. To do this, we will connect with Roberto Martínez, marketing director and member of the board of directors of the Argentine football club Racing Club; Nicolás Borrero, marketing manager of Deportivo Cali from Colombia; and Marcelo Bauza, commercial manager of Club Cerro Porteño from Paraguay. Edgar Romero, head of corporate relations at Johan Cruyff Institute, will moderate the debate. Many of these topics have been protagonists in our webinars.
“The sports industry in LATAM is in a stage of adaptation, reinvention and evolution. This situation and the new demands of the market promote the professionalization of the sector through training, digital asset management and ‘out of the box’ strategies focused on the fans, as well as other stakeholders. We are happy to share this space with leading clubs that undoubtedly generate great value for the development of the industry,” says Edgar Romero.
Throughout its years of history, SportBiz LATAM has proven to be one of the top congresses in the Latin American sports industry and its organizers have made an enormous effort to hold the event online and continue to add value, content and networking opportunities for the sport management industry.
All Johan Cruyff Institute students will have free access to the congress and the alumni community will be able to obtain a considerable discount. In addition, a scholarship to study the Football Business Fundamentals Online course will be raffled among all those registered for the event.
