Johan Cruyff Institute will participate in the Web Sport Congress in Barcelona sponsoring a panel on FIFA and with the presence of our consulting manager, Cinto Ajram, in the debate dedicated to sport sponsorship
On March 2 and 3, the emblematic Hotel W of Barcelona will host the Web Sport Congress, an innovative congress organized by ISDE and Palabe with the sponsorship of LaLiga. The congress will focus on sports law, the digital world and new technologies in the professional football industry. The Johan Cruyff Institute will have a double presence at this event: on the one hand, as a sponsor of the panel on ‘the FIFA Forward programme and new research and development projects in sport’, and on the other hand, our consulting manager, Cinto Ajram, will take part in the panel on ‘Sport Sponsorship in 4.0 Environment: Global Strategies for Customised Execution’.
The congress will have 39 speakers from the international arena, divided into 14 panel sessions in which they will discuss, from different perspectives, the management of professional football in the online world and the need to apply a new management model for a new business model.
The topics of debate will range from the influence of the online sector on sports law, to practical cases such as the application of new technologies in sport (VAR, video-assisted refereeing), image rights, sports betting, new models of online business or e-sports, all of them products or services of utmost relevance and importance for the future development of this industry. The president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, and the president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, will attend the congress, which expects to bring together around 600 people at the hotel in Barcelona, as well as thousands of others via online streaming.
Discounts for students and alumni
As partners of the event, the Johan Cruyff Institute is offering all its students and alumni of the network a significant discount to access the congress, either in person or via streaming. All those attending the Web Sport Congress (both in person and via streaming) will obtain the official certificate ‘Sports Law and New Technologies – Fundación Profesional LaLiga’.
