The future of sport and its challenges will be the central theme of the VI Forum of the Americas: Sport for Development and Peace, to be held on March 23, 2023, in hybrid format. The congress, to which Johan Cruyff Institute has been invited as a business school 100% specialized in the world of sport, will be attended by speakers from Spain, Guatemala, Cuba and Germany, and will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Confederación Deportiva Autónoma de Guatemala.
Sport is a fundamental tool for the promotion of human rights and the development of a better society. On August 23, 2013, the United Nations General Assembly decided to proclaim April 6 as the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. The congress is now in its sixth year and will delve into the trends that will define the future of sport communication.
Mariël Koerhuis, general manager of Johan Cruyff Institute, will give a one-hour online talk on the latest consumer trends in sport, based on a global vision of the industry. She will also explain the role of Johan Cruyff Institute in the training of future leaders in sport management, an area that more and more professional athletes are considering entering after their active sporting careers. The session will take place on March 23 from 10:30 a.m. (Guametala time), 5:30 p.m. (CET).
