Johan Cruyff Institute and One16 Sports, a sport marketing company specialized in the world of paddle tennis, sign an agreement to boost the academic growth of the company’s athletes and staff, and offer internship opportunities for the Johan Cruyff Institute’s master’s and postgraduate students

Johan Cruyff Institute adds the company One16 Sports, a sports marketing agency specialized in paddle tennis, to its portfolio of corporate partners, offering its athletes and staff a significant discount on its programs in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship, football business and coaching. In addition, this agreement enables Johan Cruyff Institute students to access the company’s internship offers.

Paddle tennis is a sport that has seen slow but steady growth, both in the professional circuit and among fans around the world, and currently aspires to become an Olympic sport in Paris 2024. Today, it is one of the most played sports in Spain.

One16 Sports, an agency specialized in the management and activation of sponsorships and the organization of paddle tennis events, has contributed to the growth of this sport over the last 10 years, and also represents many of its top players, such as Fernando Belasteguín, Pablo Lima, Alejandra Salazar and Marta Marrero.

The two institutions sign this agreement with the intention of enhancing the training of paddle tennis athletes and generating related actions. “For One Sixteen, it is an honor and a great opportunity to collaborate with Johan Cruyff Institute,” says Teddy Puig, co-founder of the agency. “We are very excited that students of the Master in Sport Marketing and Sponsorship will do internships with us and that we can open up the doors of our company and the sport of paddle tennis to them with a focus on sport marketing.
