Johan Cruyff Institute, learning partner of SportBizLatam, brings to the table the issue of brand commitment to women’s sport in a new edition of the congress, on April 20 and 21
The commitment of brands to sponsor and give relevance to women’s sport will be the topic of debate proposed by Johan Cruyff Institute in the next edition of SportBizLatam Live 2022 to be held on April 20 and 21 in a virtual format.
The institution, as a learning partner of the event, will lead a session on the first day, with the intervention of professionals from the sports industry who were also students of our Master’s Degree in Sport Management. Laia Talarn, former professional judoka and marketing manager of the Spanish Hockey Federation, Julieta Franco, former international hockey player for Argentina and current director of the women’s hockey team of the Real Club de Polo Barcelona, and Edgar Merino, director of Solo Cracks, an agency specializing in women’s football, as moderator, will be the members of the round table that will take place from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (5:15-6:00 p.m. CET).
Under the title ‘Women’s sport sponsorship’, our speakers will talk about their experiences as sport managers, the role of women in the growth and professionalization of women’s sport, and the shift of brands towards a sponsorship strategy focused on giving visibility to a sector that is advancing by leaps and bounds towards professionalization.
Johan Cruyff Institute continues to work together, as a learning partner, with Good Morning Sports, the organizer of SportBizLatam, in the professionalization of the sports industry in Latin America. The two entities began a joint collaboration in 2016, which has benefited the network of sport management professionals in Latin America and the growing community of students taking our programs from different parts of the continent. “We know of Johan Cruyff Institute‘s passion and commitment to develop the next generation of sport management leaders. Today the professionalization of the industry in Latin America is a reality and its presence as a SportBizLatam learning partner indicates that we are heading in the right direction,” said the director of the event, Patricio Baigorrotegui.
All students and the alumni network of Johan Cruyff Institute will obtain significant discounts to attend the event, information about which can be accessed through the virtual campus and the Alumni platform.
