Connect with Soccerex Connected 100 this summer and learn through Johan Cruyff Institute‘s content proposal about: smart stadiums, data analytics and interviews with footballers with a future in the business of football
In its 25th anniversary year, Soccerex Connected 100 once again opens its platform to the football industry to offer, throughout the summer (from May 24 to August 31), an interesting content proposal that will, once again, count on the contribution of Johan Cruyff Institute as a partner of the event.
Johan Cruyff Institute will take the stage on July 7 as ‘presenting partner’ of a day dedicated to ‘Match Day & Fan Engagement’, with seven hours of live connection and other sessions that will be available ‘on demand’. All those registered for the event will be able to hear directly testimony from Mark van der Maarel, a Utrecht FC player, and Dorus de Vries, retired in 2019 after a successful 20-year career as a professional football player, who are both graduates of the Master in Sport Management at Johan Cruyff Institute. Mark, who has just extended his contract for two more seasons to remain in the elite of Dutch football, and Dorus, currently a consultant for Euro Soccer Advice The Next Generation, will talk first-hand about their experience as students of Johan Cruyff Institute, their expectations for the future, their vision of football management and all that well-trained athletes can bring to this industry.
Stadiums are no longer just venues to host football matches, but have become increasingly sophisticated innovation labs. The Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, a collaborative partner of Johan Cruyff Institute, was the first multifunctional stadium in Europe and has, for 25 years now, been researching and providing solutions to re-imagine the football and the society of the future. Its international and innovation director, Sander van Stiphout, will give a workshop together with the CEO of the Johan Cruijff ArenA, Henk Markerink, and the CIO, Henk van Raan, on July 8.
The football industry is increasingly incorporating data analytics, not only to enhance players’ performance, but also to improve its marketing strategies and personalize the contact with the fan base. Luca Spinelli, professor of the Course in Data Analytics in Sport at Johan Cruyff Institute, will talk about his own experience and a case study in a panel titled ‘Every fan is an individual. How do we treat them as such?’ The session can be followed live on August 5 at 5:00 p.m. (CEST).
To participate in the event, the entire community of students and alumni of Johan Cruyff Institute will be able to obtain an interesting discount that can be requested through the virtual campus and the alumni platform.
