SPORTBIZ EUROPE returns to Barcelona with Johan Cruyff Institute as Learning Partner

SPORTBIZ Europe 2022 will bring together Europe’s leading sports companies and properties to discuss innovation, digital transformation, sports tech, inspiring brands, esports and sport management, from October 18-21, at the Antigua Fábrica Estrella Damm

SPORTBIZ EUROPE 2022 returns to Barcelona from October 18 to 21 with Johan Cruyff Institute as Learning Partner to bring together, over a four-day event, key players in the sports industry who will share knowledge and best practices in conferences, panels and specialized workshops.

The event, organized by Good Morning Sports, will be attended by Europe’s leading sports companies and properties, including Euroleague, NBA, FIBA, ATP and WTA, F1, FIFA, UEFA and LaLiga, as well as representatives from major European clubs and leagues.

After a welcome cocktail scheduled for Tuesday the 18th in the afternoon at the Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona, SPORTBIZ EUROPE will move the activity to the Antigua Fábrica Estrella Damm on the 19th. Mariël Koerhuis, general manager of Johan Cruyff Institute, will kick off the agenda with a presentation entitled ‘The rematch of the sports industry’, which will explain how the sports industry has been transformed to favor its expansion and diversification after a period of uncertainty marked by the Covid pandemic.

Lukas Dorda, online learning manager at Johan Cruyff Institute, will moderate the ‘Lovemarks. Redefining Fan Approach’ (10:45 a.m. -11:30 a.m.) with the participation of: Alex Ferrer, senior director, marketing and communication at Euroleague; Soraya Castellanos, head of partnerships, community and content at Tik Tok Iberia; Andrés Galicia Schwarz, head of content at Bundesliga; and Luke Nicholson, head of brand experience at Dragon Rouge.

After a short break, Víctor Jordán, academic director of Johan Cruyff Institute, will moderate a panel dedicated to the esports industry (12:45-1:30 p.m.) entitled ‘Esports income revolution: thinking out of the box’.

The congress, which is expected to bring together more than 400 people in person and can be followed via streaming, will provide space for networking sessions between executives from sports companies (agencies, consultancies, suppliers), specialized media, entrepreneurs, students and professionals from the sports industry in general. There will also be an expo area where Johan Cruyff Institute will have a stand with all the information on the range of programs it offers in sport management, sport marketing and sponsorship, football business and coaching.
