Johan Cruyff Institute connects companies in the sports sector with Master’s and Postgraduate students in a day of exclusive interviews organized in Barcelona
Johan Cruyff Institute’s mission to professionalize the sports industry is a commitment toward companies in the sector and students who, with academic education that is increasingly specific and applied to the reality of our times, want to become part of it. It is as important to know the needs of companies as is it to offer those who should be their best managers the necessary bridges to feed the sports industry with new wisdom.
Opening the first door is always the most difficult and the reason why Johan Cruyff Institute has organized the first edition of STEP DAY, a scheduled meeting between companies and master’s students who need to start applying their knowledge in real projects and with the help of active professionals.
The meeting took place on October 5 at the Antigua Fábrica Damm, where 28 representatives of sports institutions carried out interviews with 50 students. Johan Cruyff Institute had previously facilitated the selection process through its virtual platform on which companies published a description of their internship vacancies so that interested students could send their CVs. The candidates are studying this year the Offical Master’s Degree in Sport Management taught jointly with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (in on-campus and online versions, and in which an internship is compulsory), the Master in Sport Management and the Postgraduate in Sport Marketing and Sponsorship, the Master in Football Business in partnership with FC Barcelona, and the Postgraduate in Sport Management.
Institutions such as the CAR Sant Cugat, the Catalan Federation of Tennis and Basketball, RPM, DIR, Club Natacio Sant Feliu, Egoísmo Positivo, Iberia Sports, Johan Cruyff Foundation, Palco 23, TagPay, Under Armour and MIC Football attended the event to meet in person students with profiles that best fit their needs.
