CONAFUT, which is the most important national congress of the Brazilian football industry and is co-organized by our partner, Trevisan Escola de Negócios, will take place on October 21st and 22nd and will be streamed live around the world. The congress will have the participation of more than 40 speakers, who will be in charge of providing content in eight discussion panels and thematic presentations. The event, which will have the institutional support of Johan Cruyff Institute with the participation of its general manager, Mariël Koerhuis, is aimed at professionals in the football industry and students who wish to enter the sector. For this fifth edition, the audience is expected to exceed a thousand people.
“CONAFUT is the leading event for the football industry in South America, bringing together around 600 participants each year. Our intention is to be increasingly international, and that is why it is very important to have the support of Johan Cruyff Institute, a leader in the academic training of sport managers in Europe,” explains Fernando Trevisan, director of Trevisan Escola de Negócios.

CONAFUT aims to act as a platform for debate and development of sport management in the world of football and this year the event will focus on four main themes: diversity and governance; innovation and technology; football leagues and organizations; and the post-pandemic football industry.
Mariël Koerhuis, general manager of Johan Cruyff Institute, will give a presentation entitled ‘Trends in the sports industry’ on October 21st at 8.45 pm (CEST). “It is a pleasure to join this congress together with our academic partner, Trevisan Escola de Negócios. Brazil, considered the mecca of creative football, inspires us to continue discovering new football management scenarios that are equally valid for other areas of the sports industry. It will be a relevant event for any professional in sport, and in football in particular,” says Mariel.
